Quantum presses utilize a filtered recirculating oil bath system, which is by far the best form of lubrication for high speed printing presses. The antiquated drip lube systems of the past are simply not adequate to handle the rigorous standards established by Sanden designers.

Large size bearings on large diameter roller journals not only extend bearing life, but also run cooler and generate less heat at the ends of the roller.

Oscillator rollers are lubricated with an oil bath on both sides of the press. On the gear side, oil is actively injected into the vibrator gearbox. The operator side uses self contained oil reservoirs for each journal. Both are features that give superior lubrication and are part of Sanden's commitment to quality and superior performance.

Ink ductors can be programmed for a heavy or light charge of ink from the console. This feature is very important to keep light screen patterns from plugging, while being able to lay down heavy coverage for very demanding jobs.

Circumferential register operates by way of independent servo motors. 360 degree registration with automatic zero reset feature simplifies job startups and insert changes by zeroing all cylinders with one button. It also provides operation of print units independently for wash-up and changing plates and blankets.

All inserts—offset, file punch and cross perf—are changed out by use of a single hydraulic insert cart and easily transferred to the insert rack. Unlike some competitive presses, no cranes are required for this process. Inserts can easily be switched between more than one press without restrictions.
